Ladies,
 
I've attached an Excel Spreadsheet (I attached the file below) as a tool to collect information as we had discussed in our meeting Wednesday.  The first several rows are examples of what we're looking for.
 
As a recap, in the course of the discussion the following issues were identified:
 
1.  Schoolmaster is not user-friendly

2.  Some mobile technology is needed to respond to accessing information during emergency drills/events and screenings that must be conducted away from the Nurses office because of space limitations.

3.  Standards are needed for forms and procedures

4.  Nurses need to be able to add new items to validation tables (ie. allergies)

5.  Need space for notes

6.  There are issues with contact information where a student needs to be released but has constraints on to whom the student may be released.  (I'm not sure if this is an issue where the nurse needs access to contact information that's considered confidential.

7.  Who would train the health aides?  How much access should they have?

 
The technology department needs more information to continue to move this project forward, so the following prompts are provided for the "next step" in addition to the spreadsheet:
 
What can't be done using the current system?

What can be done but is cumbersome?

What data elements are needed/used (the spreadsheet is provided for feedback and guidance)?

What elements are required by law to be reported?

What other issues should we be aware of that pose a significant problem that have the potential for automation?
