As the year has progressed many MTA Teachers have experimented and experienced integrating technology into classroom instruction and practice.  

 

At a big school it is difficult to share these valuable experiences.  It is important to take time to share these experiences and document them in a way that they can be used to facilitate the faculty's next steps integrating technology. 

 

Today each department should meet to share and discuss the individual experiences teachers have had integrating technology into classroom practice this year. To focus the discussion around integrating technology to improve teaching and learning please consider these questions:

 

•  Describe one experience  integrating technology into teaching and learning

 

 

•  Reflecting back to this expereince,  what did it allow you or students  to do differently in your class?

 

•  Was there an impact on student engagement?  Please briefly describe.

 

 

•  Reflecting back on this experience integrating technology into teaching and learning what challenges did you overcome in order to implement this use of technology?

 

 

•  What is one thing you would like others to know about your experience implementing this use of technology in your class.

 

 

Each department will need someone to record individual repsonses.  To record the responses click the correct content area below. One may ask, why do indiviudal teachers need to share their experiences? Buidling a collaborative culture where teachers can assist each other as they learn to use technology is critically important.  Knowing who has had some experience with certain aspects of technology is necessary to foster a climate of collaboration.  After all, it is hard to ask someone for advice or assistance if you don't know who to ask!
